What the site is

Lukas Dean's publishes recipes and cooking guides, points to food made and shipped by other kitchens, and lets food businesses apply for a booth. We do not cook, pack or ship food. Features marked as not open yet may never open, and may change.

Recipes, safety and allergens

Recipes and guides are general information, not professional dietary, medical or food-safety advice. Times, temperatures and yields are guides. Use a thermometer, follow safe food handling, and check every ingredient for allergens that matter to you or your guests. If you have an allergy, medical condition or special diet, check with a qualified professional before cooking. You cook at your own risk and are responsible for supervising children and for kitchen safety. Read the Recipe and Food Safety Notice.

Links, kitchens and booths

  • The kitchen or retailer that sells a product is the seller. It is responsible for the product, its safety, permits, labeling, shipping and returns. Your purchase contract is with them, not with us.
  • We may earn a commission on some links. See the Affiliate Disclosure.
  • A booth is a listing and placement, not a promise of sales, traffic or results. Booth holders must have the permits and insurance their food needs. We may decline or remove any listing at any time.
  • Booth applications are not contracts. Terms are agreed in writing before any payment.

Star Kitchen and named chefs

Star Kitchen dishes are written in our own words and measurements, drawn from published methods, with credit. We are not affiliated with or endorsed by any chef, restaurant or guide named. Names and marks belong to their owners and are used only to say whose published method inspired a dish.

Our content and your use

The text, recipes, design and images on this site belong to Apex Flow Labs LLC or its licensors and are protected by copyright. You may cook the recipes, print a page for your own kitchen and link to us. You may not copy, republish or sell our content or scrape the site in bulk without written permission. To report copyright infringement, see Report Content or Takedown.

AI-generated media

Some images or video may be made with AI tools such as Apex Flow AI. Where that is so, we label it.

Email list

You may join the coffee list only if you are 18 or older and the address is yours. You can leave at any time.

Disclaimers and liability

The site is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. To the extent the law allows, Apex Flow Labs LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for any illness, injury, allergic reaction or loss that results from cooking, serving or eating food, or from products and kitchens we link to. Our total liability for any claim relating to the site is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the past 12 months or fifty dollars. Some places do not allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of California, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Courts in California have jurisdiction, except where your local consumer law says otherwise.
