Privacy Policy
Last updated October 24, 2026. Lukas Dean's is run by Apex Flow Labs LLC, Galt, California, United States.
This policy explains what Lukas Dean's collects, why, who handles it, and the choices you have. We collect as little as we can. There are no accounts, no comments, no advertising and no analytics on this site.
What we collect
- Email address, if you join the coffee list. You type it into the form on the Coffee Club page. We pass it to the shared Apex Flow Labs list, tagged with the name of this site, so we can tell you when the coffee club opens and about new recipes. Nothing else is asked for.
- What you write in a booth application. The booth form on the Get a booth page does not send anything to our servers. It opens an email in your own email app, addressed to info@apexflowlabs.com, with your answers filled in. If you send it, we receive what is in that email (business name, your name, email, what you make, where you ship, an optional link).
- Basic technical data. Our hosting provider (Vercel) automatically logs the IP address, browser type, pages requested and time of each visit for security and reliability.
- Your cookie choice. Saved in your browser’s local storage so we do not ask again. It never leaves your device.
We do not collect payment details on this site. If checkout is added later (for the recipe book or a booth), payment is handled on Stripe’s own pages and we will update this policy first.
Optional scripts, only with your OK
Two small scripts from Apex Flow Labs (apexflowlabs.com) are not loaded unless you choose “Accept optional” in the cookie box: the Apex Flow arcade button and a status check for the Apex Flow Pulse link in the footer. Loading them tells Apex Flow Labs that your browser visited this page (your IP address and browser details, as with any web request). If you decline, or your browser sends the Global Privacy Control signal, they stay off. See the Cookie Policy.
How we use it
- To send you the email you asked for: news that the coffee club opened, and new recipes.
- To read and answer booth applications.
- To keep the site secure and working, and to meet legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not use it to profile you.
Who handles data for us
- Vercel: website hosting and server logs.
- Apex Flow Labs (our parent company): the shared list that stores coffee-list emails.
- Your own email provider: carries booth applications you send us.
We may also disclose information if the law requires it or to protect rights and safety.
Links to other sites
Recipe pages and the Counter may link to other sites, including retailers and kitchens, and to our sister sites. They have their own privacy practices. If you buy through an affiliate link, the retailer sees that you came from us. See Affiliate Disclosure.
Email and unsubscribing
Joining the list is optional and needs your tick in a box that starts unticked. Every email will carry a way to unsubscribe, and you can also email info@apexflowlabs.com to be removed. We will not email anyone who has not asked.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct, export or delete your personal information, or opt out of any sale or sharing (we do neither). California residents have these rights under the CCPA/CPRA, and we extend the same requests to everyone. We will not penalize you for asking. Use the privacy request page or email us. We may need to confirm it is you, and we respond within 45 days. You can use an authorized agent.
Children
Lukas Dean's is a general-audience cooking site written for adults and families. It is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. The email list is for people 18 and over. Kids are welcome to cook with a grown-up, but a parent or guardian should be the one who types in an email address. If you think a child gave us information, tell us and we will delete it.
Security and retention
Data is kept with reputable providers and access is limited. No system is perfectly secure. We keep a coffee-list email until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it, and booth emails for as long as the conversation or the legal need lasts.
Changes and contact
If we make material changes we will update the date above.
